The XI History Forum starts at UCI

With a tribute to Fidel, there began the History Forum of the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) in the Hall Room of School Building Camilo Cienfuegos.

In the opening ceremony, presided over by Dr.Sc Natalia Martínez Sánchez, Vicerector for Academic Affairs; MSc. Silvano Merced Len, General Secretary of the Communist Party Committee; and Eliani Cabrera García, FEU president, the program of the event was announced; its main goal is to deepen the historical events of our nation.

Dr.Sc. Martinez Sanchez pronounced the key speech of the ceremony, and she said that this meeting imposes the challenge of presenting research works that reflect the scientific level of the students of this house of higher studies, pay tribute to the thought of the Commander in Chief and also reflect commitment to our Revolution.

The Forum which celebrates its XI Edition takes place within the context of the Fidel Maestro-Martí Maestro Tribute Days and contemplates several collateral activities among which stand out the historical Marathon and the contests Discover the image and Facts and Dates.

The History Forum of this house of higher studies is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the University Student Federation, the 60th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, and the 165th anniversary of the birth of our National Hero José Martí.
