The room honoring Ernesto Che Guevara reopens its doors
A worthy tribute was paid this morning to the Bronze Titan and to the Heroic Guerrilla on the 172nd and the 89th anniversaries of their birth, with the reopening of the “Ernesto Che Guevara” room in School Building 2 by School 3 from the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI)
During the event, which was presided over by the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Dra.Sc., Natalia Martínez Sánchez and Commander Oscar Fernández Mell, Che's assistant and doctor, the Dean of School 3, Engineer Yadian G. Pérez Betancourt, synthesized in his speech the purpose of the renovation and functioning of Che Guevara’s room.
At the closing ceremony, the iTocororo Prize was awarded to the group of workers and students of School 3 who developed the Management System for the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Cuba
The President of the Cuban Society of Law and Informatics, Dra.C. Yarina Amoroso Fernández, presented the award taking into consideration the impact, importance and value of the IT solution in the field of legal informatics and its usefulness in institutions.
The re-inauguration of the “Ernesto Guevara” room seeks to strengthen the study of Che's philosophical, political, economic, social and military ideas. In the same way, it projects promoting research that contributes to the education of patriotic and solidarity values.
