The sixty-eighth anniversary of the actions of March 13, 1957 and the honoring of the figure of José Antonio Echevarría; the sixty-third anniversary of the creation of the Union of Young Communists (UJC, , for its Spanish equivalent), among other motivational dates that served as a reference to the Forum.

These issued 23 papers as Mention; 20 were recognized as Outstanding and 14 were rated as Relevant. According to several members of the committee, the papers presented were of outstanding quality.

The presence of the Hero of the Republic of Cuba René González Sehwerert, who accompanied the inauguration of the event with a fruitful exchange with professors and students, was remembered and applauded. The History Forum showed unity, creativity and the spirit of resistance of the university youth.

Student Víctor Alejandro Santos Oliva called on his fellow students to continue researching with rigor and passion, taking up an emblematic phrase of the eternal leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz: “History does not repeat itself, but it teaches. And those who do not learn from it are condemned to repeat it”.
