During the morning of this Monday, November 6, Comrade Vo Van Thuong, member of the Political Bureau of the Secretariat and Head of the Central Committee’s Propaganda and Education Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam, visited the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) along with the delegation that accompanied him.

The visitor was received in the Maqueta de la UCI (UCI scale model) by Dr.Sc. Miriam Nicado García, Rector of this institution, accompanied by David Lahera, an official of the Central Committee of the Party in charge of the Education sphere, and other leaders of our house of higher studies.

UCI Rector made the presentation of each of the processes that the University develops in education, research, software production and extension activities.

Likewise, she showed the visitors some of the artwork that the university campus exhibits and lay emphasis on the great commitment we have with the preservation of this creation developed by our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.

Additionally, on behalf of his delegation, Comrade Vo Van Thuong expressed their gratitude for the explanations given as well as for the attention and kindness received.

He added he felt very happy and excited to visit a site created by Fidel which at 15 years of its creation has already achieved successes both nationally and internationally.

To conclude, he said he hoped that there can soon be established ties of cooperation between companies and universities of Vietnam dedicated to the production of software and this University, which is a great creation of the leader of the Cuban Revolution.
