Yesterday afternoon, Monday, June 19, in the Protocol Hall of José Martí School Building, a meeting took place between managers of this house of higher studies and Rafael Delgado, consultant and strategy adviser of the R&D Free Software Foundation Fidesol, Spain.

The meeting was presided over by the Rector of this institution, Ph.D., Miriam Nicado García, and it was also attended by members of the University Council and representatives from some Development Centers of this University.

The distinguished visitor received a detailed explanation of the operations of the university and he expressed his desire to establish cooperation links in a near future.

Fidesol is a non-profit organization and a Research and Development Center focused on Information and Communication Technologies. It devotes its efforts on promoting and encouraging research, development and the dissemination of tools and services based on open standards and technologies.
