Youth Celebration at our University
Generally, a celebration without music is discouraged, and the Cuban youth, as Che said in 1962, we define ourselves in a single word: vanguards, and we are the first in the work, in the study and also the first to celebrate.
It is for this reason that music could not be lacking in the proposal.
In order to give continuity to the activities of the campaign for the 55th anniversary of the Youth communist Union (known as UJC), 56th of the José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM) and 95th of the University Student Federation (FEU), this March 24th presented at the Cultural Center "Wifredo Lam" the musical group El Noro and First Class, known as the "crazy on a motorcycle" by Pupy or the singer of Trabuco by Manolito Simonet.
The concert began after 10:00 pm, the enjoyment of those present was breathed with the Cuban popular music that was playing. Even a few of our children accompanied the evening uncoordinated moving their skeleton. Noro congratulated the UJC and the OPJM and shared the fact that he began to study design, a university career that he abandoned for music and that he had to work very hard to accomplish his goal.
Not less important was the presentation of the socio-cultural project Malatesta in the same square, seven hours before. The art of our university became known when we began to hear nothing more than traditional Cuban music.
Topics such as La Negra Tomasa, The tamalitos de Olga, Cómo fue and Cuba, que lindos son tus paisajes delighted those present. The amateur artists refer that "the music instructor Tamara" was the one who made them the proposal of the small format, which they consider important to spread this type of music among young people, since "our roots have been lost a little" and that, although it might seem Easy, has great musical complexity. They finished their performance with their fusion music proposal.
