A visit to the Institutional Communication Department by members of the JAN
As part of the institutional evaluation process the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) is going through until December 8, the National Accreditation Council (JAN) visited the Institutional Communication Department (Dircom) of our institution on the afternoon of this December 5th.
During the day, the Dircom work system design was presented; this scheme is based on a Master Strategy of Institutional Communication and a Communication Policy which regulate the communication system of the university, as well as the main services that the Directorate offers to its community.
The evaluators could witness the recording of one of the materials used for the consultation of students, which are published on the InterNos media platform. It was also explained to them that this tool represents a support to the teaching-educational process. The experts could later approach the Radio Ciudad Digital radio station and thus perceive the work done by this team jointly with the “Radialistas en la Red” movement.
The visit went on along other areas of the Directorate, with an obligatory stopover in the Press Room where communicators, journalists, designers and other specialists manage the contents that are shared out through the different media: the Mella newspaper, the Web portal of the University in the Internet, and the profiles in the five social networks in which we are currently present.
During the tour, emphasis was placed on the commitment that our university media system and this Directorate have with the Revolution, Cuba and our house of high studies, and it is strengthened built on a planned and systematic work.
