Tribute and commitment to the Revolution
The community of students and workers of the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) gathered this Monday morning, January 28th in several premises of our center to evince both our support to the Cuban Revolution and tribute to the National Hero of Cuba.
The contemporary relevance of the thinking of a Cuban of universal reach was remarked along a ceremony carried out in the campus square devoted to Martí, the man who became the greatest Hispano-American political thinker of the 19th Century.
The occasion gave rise to the opportunity to acknowledge the winners of the Technologies Contest “Contributing to the Revolution” , and also to make an appeal to the university community to participate in the popular referendum to be held next February 24th.
The meeting, headed over by the Deputy Rector, PhD Raydel Montesino Perurena and other members of the University Council, expressed a calling to carry on with new victories of our motherland and socialism.
Transport Directorate workers put stickers on buses and cars to show their backup to the constitutional referendum, a democratic exercise that will soon take place in the country.
The various rallies held in our campus convey the unity of this higher learning center to go on fighting for the nation we want to continue building up.
Defending the Revolution's conquests is an inviolable commitment to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, and is a clear evidence of what it means for this Cuban generation
