With faith in the paradigm of Che Guevara
With faith in the universal paradigm of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, the University of Computer Science (UCI) commemorated the 90th anniversary of the birth of the rebel guerrilla of Argentine origin on June 14.
The visual arts exhibition "Dreams are still in the Cultural Center" became the opening of the homage to the life and work of Che, which was attended by the Major General of the FAR Reserve, Rogelio Acevedo González; deans, leaders of political and mass organizations, students and workers of the UCI.
Sponsored by the University Extension Department, the Malatesta Sociocultural Project, Faculty 3 and the Ernesto Guevara Honorary Chair, Son los sueños still features five pieces by plastic artist Sael José Álvarez Serrano, a student at Faculty 3.
During the commemoration at the University Library, Acevedo spoke about Che, preceded by a thank you to the University for the invitation.
He, also a soldier under the orders of Che Guevara in the Rebel Army, presented the book of his authorship with only 16.
He narrated how the guerrilla Che emerged, the stage of his chronic bronchitis that accompanied him all his life, moments of the period of 1959-65, as well as his adventurous spirit and his habit of reading.
The day also recalled the intellect of the promoter of the simultaneous science game with a chess match at the institution's Remberto Fernández Honorary Chair.
