School 1 graduates 78 engineers with the happiness and pride of being Cubans
With the joy and pride of being Cuban students of the University of Informatics Sciences, School 1 held the graduation ceremony dedicated to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution and to the 15 anniversary of the creation of this center.
During the ceremony, chaired by the Vicerector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Sc., Natalia Martínez Sánchez. Recognition was given to the best student graduates in the different competition areas of the students’ organization (FEU). Student-teachers and those with relevant results in research and scientific merit were also acknowledged.
On behalf of the graduates, Carlos Yordan González Herrera, one of the three students from School 1 awarded with the Gold Title, recalled the five years of studies. He also expressed the gratitude, joy, pride and conviction of the graduates of being useful to society and responsible for the institution that educated them.
In closing the ceremony, the dean of the school, MSc. Delly Lien González Hernández, congratulated the graduates and highlighted the main challenge that the new engineers have on technologies, urging them to bring these closer to society in their use with intelligence and conscienceness.
UCI School 1, which started in 2012 with more than 300 students, according to the Dean, ends this academic year with an academic index of 4.03 points. In this eleventh graduation, School 1 graduates 78 students to a nation that expects to receive them with open arms.
