Master in Software Quality presented its program to JAN evaluators

During the day of this April 25th  was presented to the evaluation team of the National Accreditation Board (known as JAN) the program of the Master in Software Quality with its strengths and weaknesses.

The group of experts is made up of the Ph.D.s  Nereyda Cruz Tejas (coordinator), the University of Pedagogical Sciences Enrique José Varona; Gheisa Lucía Ferreira Lorenzo, from the "Marta Abreu" Central University of Las Villas; Carlos Ramón López Paz, from the Technological University of Havana (Cujae) and Omar Ochoa Rodríguez from the Institute of Cybernetics, Mathematics and Physics.

Ph.D. Yaimí Trujillo Casañola, the coordinator of the Master's Program, presented to the evaluator's data of interest about this postgraduate program in which she highlighted its relevance, the results obtained with its impact on the economic and social development of the country and on the Cuban software industry. It also meant the achievements for national and international recognition, the composition of the staff where 87% are Ph.D.s, and the homologation with other prestigious international programs.

Also, after this presentation, the JAN expert team made an exchange with the members of the Academic Committee of the Master to clarify some aspects that were not clear to them, obtaining the appropriate answers to the questions asked.

Similarly, surveys were applied to teachers of the staff, students of the third edition of the Masters and graduates of previous editions, and also individual interviews were conducted to find evidence of aspects reflected in the self-assessment presented.

In the afternoon these evaluators will process the surveys and interviews and will continue with the revision of the documentation: files, thesis, scientific production of the staff and other relevant aspects of the program.
