The two teams of experts from the National Accreditation Board (known as JAN) to evaluate the Doctorate in Computing and the Master in Software Quality at the University of Informatics Sciences (known as UCI) started the day on Wednesday April 26th, visiting the emblematic Mella square in the institution.
Subsequently, they moved to the Exhibition Room of Applications and Computer Systems to conduct an exchange with production managers in this entity.
To start the meeting the MSc. Reynaldo Rosado Roselló, Vice- Rector for Production, made a presentation on the composition of the Network of Development Centers of the UCI and briefly explained the model designed to interrelate the final software products that are obtained in the 14 centers that are part of this whole Productive structure.
Also, Rosado explained the marking strategy followed to market the products and also noted the importance of having been certified in 2015 the production process of the UCI with level 2 CMMI.
As a sample of the productive development achieved at the University, which pays tribute to the research, seven Head of Centers (Cesim, Cdae, Vertex, Geysed, Cedin, Cesol and Cised) exposed the research lines that have resulted in the defense of doctorates and master's degrees , Which are on track to materialize and the impact that each has had for economic and social development in the university, the country or internationally.
To close the morning session, the JAN evaluators applied an online survey to the employers' managers of the graduates of these programs in the University.
At the meeting were also present Ph.D. Raydel Montesino Perurena, Deputy Rector of the Institution; Ph.D. Arturo Arias Orizondo, Graduate Director; Irina Brito Reyes, general director of Production; The MSc. Mónica Peña Casanova, director of Technology and Knowledge Transfer and the directors of each Development Center.
The afternoon was reserved to visit the History Room of this house of high studies, the Center for Scientific and Technical Information, to continue processing the surveys applied on the day and continue to review the documentation.
