Ernesto Guevara’s legacy multiplies at UCI
In order to raise the figure of the Heroic Guerrilla, the building where school 3 is located at the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) was named after Ernesto Guevara.
The admiration for this leader of our nation was made evident this morning during the homage paid, in which our university community was fused to reassert the legacy of this man who grows bigger and bigger with time.
Gaspar Melchor González, representing those responsible for the Room that honors Ernesto Che Guevara pointed out that School 3 has been given the responsibility and feels honored to open this space, which seeks to promote the analysis of Che’s thinking where the values to be developed in this house of higher studies stand out.
In addition, Yadián Pérez Betancourt, Dean of School 3, stressed that on this day we pay tribute to a man that stands as a true model of a revolutionary. He also urged the contemporary generations of Cubans to follow the example of this architect of the communist society.
The gathering, which included the musical performances of the amateur artist Rubén García and the Malatesta group, was also the occasion for a group of workers from our institution to receive their cards as members of the Communist Party of Cuba.
This tribute to Che Guevara united the whole University of Informatics Sciences in a single light beam, for no altar to remain without a light for that paradigm who multiplies himself in our house of higher studies.
