As an essential pillar in the strengthening of the values of local culture, one of the most anticipated events of the year took place this Wednesday night at the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI).
Music, theatre, dance, magic, declamations and audiovisuals made up a show with a high aesthetic value dedicated to the 9th Congress of the University Student Federation (FEU) and the 173rd anniversary of the birth of Antonio Maceo and 90th anniversary of Ernesto Che Guevara.
At the awards ceremony, the Wifredo Lam Cultural Centre was the stage of the Wifredo Lam awards ceremony, which was attended by well-known local artists such as Malatesta, Espacio Abierto, Alarcos Teatro and the excellent voices of Luis Daniel Castro, Stefhani González and Dayana Oñate Martínez.
Creativity and originality went hand in hand in this evening, which featured an attractive scenery, and a fluid conduction by Felipe González Santiago and Yinelys González Delgado, who contributed to highlight the performances of the artists who paraded through the most important cultural center of this center of higher education.
The awards ceremony disseminated the art of our institution and reflected the work carried out by the UCI movement, highlighting faculties 1, 3 and 2, respectively, for the work carried out in the sixteenth edition of these events.
During the evening the art movement bet on young artist, Osiel Sánchez Martínez who was recognized as the amateur artist of the year for defending authentically Cuban culture, leaving his mark on the cultural life of our University.
The colorfulness of this show, which combined several specialties, met the expectations of the people who gathered in this venue to appreciate the cultural richness of our house of high studies.
