About her enthusiasm for this artistic manifestation she comments.
- When did you start dancing?
- From very young, when I was about three years. I started at that time in the children's theater company America where I learned several Cuban genres.
"I then spent six years with a very good teacher named Marta Euquizar, and because of her teachings, I began to relate more to the Spanish dance, and it called me even more my attention, participating for several years in an event that is held annually, Named The footprint of Spain.
"Later I started in the workshops of Lizt Alfonso´s company where, for eight years, I learned very good values such as discipline, fellowship, humility, among others. In addition, I received classes from different flamenco clubs like: bulería, soleá, tango, sevillana and rumba ".
- What can you tell me about the music and choreography you use in your performance?
- That music I used it first because I wanted my performance to be more flamenco than the one I presented before and because the song I use has many ups and downs, I knew that it would be welcome by the audience. I choreography was prepared taking into account the knowledge acquired from before.
- Why did you bet on this artistic manifestation?
- Really because it was what I studied from the beginning.
- Have you been nominated on other occasions to participate in the National Festival of Amateur Artists?
- No, I participate for the first time, I presented the previous year in a duet and we got the silver medal in the provincial level.
- What is the Bulerías show you are presenting at the National Festival about ?
- The work does not really have a specific theme, I simply put into practice the knowledge acquiered before .
- What does it mean for you to have been selected to compete in the National Festival of Amateur Artists?
- For me it is a great pride, it will be my first experience presenting an individual work in a National Festival of Amateur Artists and I hope to get very good results, even though I would have wanted it to be in another province because I am from Havana.
