Representatives of the Railway Company of Cárdenas, Matanzas, held several working sessions with directors of the University of Informatics Sciences (known as UCI) on Wednesday, in order to make commercial and academic agreements.
The meeting took place in the Maquette room , with the presence of Ph.D. Miriam Nicado García, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba, of the Council of State and Rector of our house of high studies, accompanied by representatives of the Directorate of Transfer of Technologies and Knowledge and several Development Centers.
The delegation from Matanzas was headed by Ileana Amparo Flores Morales, member of the Council of State and director of the Industrial Railway Company José Valdés Reyes, who explained the needs of its entity to count on integral solutions for the computerization of the systems and processes that it performs, as part of the modernization they experience.
It was agreed to start a deployment of specialists from our centers in the entity located in the municipality of Cárdenas, to start the immediate development of products that allow optimizing the company's processes, based on a comprehensive diagnosis as a starting point.
The visitors received a broad explanation of the history of the University in general and checked in the Exhibition Hall the practical operation of several of the computer systems that are expected to be used soon in their facilities.
The José Valdés Reyes Industrial Railway Company located in Matanzas , assembles containers plates, hoppers for the sugar transportation, cars for passenger transport and freight cars. Its products are aimed at the resuscitation of the Cuban railway system and also meet the demand of international customers.
