The UCI prepares for the May Day parade
The members of the University of Informatics Sciences (known as UCI) expressed their loyalty to the Revolution and demonstrated their unconditional support in the challenges that our nation assumes during the plenary called by the union movement of this higher education center.
During the meeting, Lester Collado Rolo, Secretary General of the Union Bureau of this institution, stated the guidelines for the mobilization of our house of high studies in the May Day parade.
Under the slogan "Our strength is unity," the working class march will pay tribute to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and will be dedicated to young Cuban people. It will also celebrate the 56th anniversary of the victory of Playa Girón and the proclamation of the socialist character of the Revolution and 55 of the creation of the Young Communists Union.
In relation to the development of the parade, Lester stressed that the UCI representation will gather from 3:00 a.m. on Paseo Avenue and will form part of the block that will open the proletarian fiesta in our country.
He also urged to celebrate the anniversary with the joy and color that characterizes these concentrations, reaffirming that among the new generations are the historical continuity.
Specially Collado Rolo, highlighted the recognition that received this house of high studies for its participation on January 2 in the Military Parade and March of the Combative People on the occasion of the landing of the yacht Granma, and Day of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
This distinction is an additional incentive for the workers and students of our University to take to the streets with multiple initiatives to express their responsibility to continue building socialism.
