Students’ tribute to the eternal founder
Summoned by the youth organizations of the institution, the students of the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) paid tribute to the FEU leader and founder of the First Marxist-Leninist Party of Cuba.
Raúl Alejandro Palmero, national president of the student organization and his counterpart in this center, Eliani Cabrera García, initiated the honor guard that was followed, uninterruptedly, until midnight, by a representation of the students from this house of higher studies.
Cabrera García reaffirmed in her key speech that the FEU members have the obligation to preserve the legacy of that generation led by Mella; she also requested them to rescue, study and disseminate it his thoughts, for this will contribute to the education of university students.
In this traditional gathering, the tribute was paid through the poetry and music interpreted by members of the organization and the amateur artist José Carlos Mariño.
The Pinos Nuevos (The new pine trees) of this institution reaffirm that each work carried out at UCI, is also part of the legacy of Julio Antonio Mella, and of the vitality of a nation renewed in each one of its children…
