School 1 affirms fidelity to the Revolution and to the ideals of Fidel

In a patriotic act, students and workers from school 1, paid tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro this morning.

Representatives of the Communists Young Union of and the University Student Federation of the school, grouped in the lobby of teaching building 3, transmitted to the audience the conviction of the university students to be faithful defenders of the Revolution and the ideals of Fidel.
The students emphasized in their respective speeches that today more than ever young people will continue with the Socialist Revolution and will not disappoint Fidel:
"I have the immense pride of studying at the University of Informatics Sciences, to say that I am Cuban and that thanks to you, Fidel, I am a young university student with the power to transform the future. We are a united country and we are committed to your ideals.
"You taught us not to bow down to anyone, to defend our principles.
"Thank you for being an example of sacrifice, modesty, altruism and heroism. Thank you for showing us that David can face the most terrible Goliath when there is a deep conviction to defend truth and ideas at any cost.
"You will never be forgotten. Your spirit is with all Cubans and your soul is in every school, in every hospital, in every building, in our hearts.
"Now we have to be better professionals, better students, and better revolutionaries. Here we will be, among tears, but firm, saying as always "for whatever you need us Fidel, for whatever you need us."
In her closing statements and with agitation in her voice, the dean of the school, Delly Lien González, commented on the vigil-homage that the university community did on November 25th, after the physical disappearance of the Commander.
In this hour of pain and ratification for the country, the dean encouraged to declare, through the social networks, the decision, civic spirit and energetic of the students to fight united for this University, Fidel and the Revolution.
During the day until 3:30 p.m. and organized by areas, university students and workers, will be able to sign the book of Commitment to the Revolution in the University Library.
From 4:00 p.m. on, workers and students from the University of Informatics Sciences are expected to leave for the José Martí Memorial. Once in this historical site, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the University of Informatics Sciences, like all our people, will pay tribute to the founder of this house of high studies, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.
