From this Friday September 1st to Sunday 3rd, about one thousand new students will ratify their enrollment on the day time course at the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI).
For the fifteenth time, the doors at UCI are opened for the Engineering in Computer Science career in this academic year 2017-2018. However, for the first time and occurring simultaneously, this institution, recognized as Fidel's disciple, offers new opportunities for studies in the fields of Bioinformatics and higher technical education in Networks and Computer Security.
In order to guarantee the success of the enrollment process, the university General Secretariat specifies that the essential requirements for enrollment are the Identity Card – kept in good condition, as well as the original and a photocopy of the higher intermediate level diploma or the certification of completed studies.
It is indicated that, if deferred from Military Service, men should hand over the original document of the license from the Active Military Service (SMA, for its acronyms in Spanish) issued by the military unit.
Likewise, those who, for various reasons, performed a socially useful task and were not enrolled in the SMA, must show the original SIES-4 model that certifies the evaluation for the task fulfillment. In this regard, the Secretariat insists that in order to guarantee the authenticity of the documents, the Provincial Entrance Commission should register, sign and stamp that model together with Annex 1 and a 5 pesos stamp.
In the case of the “NO APTO FAR” (unfit for Military Service) the applicant must submit the original and a copy of the resolution of the Ministry of Armed Forces (FAR)that certifies this condition. The Secretariat reiterates that these documents only acquire legitimacy if signed by the President of the recruitment commission and with the stamp of the Provincial Military Committee.
This Friday UCI will host in School Building 6 a generation of young people educated in this nation and science producers “in blossom”.
The enrollment is intended to start from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the classrooms of the Gastex area.
Professionals from this University, from the Vice-Rectorate of Academic Affairs, General Secretariat, Security and Protection, and the Residence areas, among others, will participate in the organization of the registration process and accommodation of the new students.
