The electoral authorities and the support personnel of the five constituencies at the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI) have already declared the premises for the elections ready, as well as all the necessary documentation so that the elections of this March 11th are carried out successfully.

In order to have some more details about the preparations and the motivations to exercise the right to vote that day, we interacted with some of them.

“From our constituency, where the electors of Schools 4 and the School of Computational Sciences and Technologies (Citec) will be exercising their right to vote, we have developed a group of initiatives in order to guarantee their attendance as well as the quality of the votes; for instance, we have held meetings with the different student brigades in both schools in order to explain how the voting should be done. We have also published printed documents with the same information in the different school buildings and the residence areas of our university.

“We were also present in the morning gatherings held in both schools in order to once again summon the voters to come to our polling place which is located in the Polyclinic and will be open from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm. Thus, we are inviting the entire community to exercise their vote this day in order to elect our provincial delegates and deputies to the National Assembly.“ Alina Rodríguez Peña. President of the Polling Station Constituency 87.

“Being able to exercise the right to vote this Sunday means voting for the continuity of our Revolution and voting for all those who will represent us, those who were chosen from the base to represent the citizens of our country and deal with their concerns.

“At this moment it is very necessary to have the support of all the people to vote for our socialism, as from another perspective there is a new generation of Cubans who will also be defending our Revolution and everything that has been accomplished so far.” Arlenys Palmero Ortega. Elector from Constituency 87.

This Sunday, with our united vote, we will be confirming once more our Yes, for Cuba and its Revolution!
