Festival of the Butterflies promotes  cultural night in the university.

Literature, fine arts  and music converged on Monday night in the gallery of the Cultural Center Wifredo Lam, on the occasion of the Festival of Butterflies, an event that advocates non-violence towards girls and women, and it  is organized by the  Sociocultural  project Malatesta.

The cultural space began with the inauguration of the personal exhibition A look back, of the artist of the arts  Dolores Ruiz "Lola", who expressed to the attendees that the works, made with lithographic technique, were made  some years ago and are inspired mainly In the Cuban woman and in the women of her family, who embody a patriotic and Creole sentiment.

In the evening, which was conducted by  Yonnier Torres literature instructor and professor , the trova had its space with the presence of the amateur artists Rubén García and Miguel Ángel Albuerne who delighted us with Cuban themes and other geographies.

The usual Peña Torres de Marfil brought to the stage renowned writers from our institution  as Elizabeth Reinosa, Martha Acosta and Rubiel G. Labarta, who will present their latest creations at the upcoming book fair.

Fragments of the storybook Blue Birds, winner of the New Pines Literature Award, in the voice of Acosta and Striptease of memory, awarded in the tenth contest Francisco Riverón 2016, Reinosa, made the gallery vibrate.

Intimacy, debate and jocosity were breathed on Monday at the meeting, which kicked off the University Book and Reading Festival (FULL), which will run until Friday with a variety of activities organized by the Department of University Extension and FEU, closing with the concert of Alain Pérez.
