Eighth edition of ACM-ICPC Training Camp started

With the lecture Advanced usage of segment trees, by the Russian professor Gleb Evstropov, in the Teaching building  4, the VIII Training Camp for the ACM-ICPC began at the University of Informatics  Sciences ( kown as UCI) from March 13th  to 25th ,  2017.

The training is organized by the Competitive Programming Movement Tomás López Jiménez of this house of high studies and conducted by the ACM-ICPC regional director in the Caribbean, Mr. Dovier Antonio Ripoll Mendez.

There are  70 participants, including professors and students, from Cuba, Angola, Mexico, Colombia and Russia attend the competition for the ACM-ICPC Regional Final.

The eighth Caribbean Camp that has its headquarters in the UCI is part of the training for the International University Competition of Programming of the Association of Computer Machines, which is held in at this same moment at this University and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, Santiago de The Knights, in the Dominican Republic.
