Concluded VIII PGCUBA Meeting in the University of Informatics Sciences
This Wednesday afternoon March 31st, the VIII PGCUBA Meeting was concluded, which was held at the building of school 4 of the University of Informatics Sciences (known as UCI).
During this last day, the participants carried out a training related to the Migration of data to PostgreSQL, given by three specialists of the Center for Data Management Technologies (Datec), belonging to the Faculty of Sciences and Computational Technologies, of this university.
Also, the participants were able to learn about Regeneration Registrations within this system, in the lecture offered by the titular professor Ph.D. Alejandro Carrillo, from the Institute of the Atlantic Coast, Polytechnic, Colombian Higher Education Center, located in Barranquilla.
Ph.D. Carrillo also presented the results of a project in which he works for the implementation of a centralized computer technology solution for the introduction of logs and digital evidence of computer incidents in 802.11x wireless networks widely used in his country.
To close the meeting Ph.D. Ailec Granda Dihigo, dean of the faculty that hosted the event, presented a certificate of recognition for the work deployed to the seven professors who participated in this event. In addition, she thanked everyone, inviting them to attend the next edition of this meeting, which will be held next year.
