This Thursday afternoon, workers living in campus and from the vice-rectories and central directorates from the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI), all voters of Constituency 85, held their candidate nomination assembly to the municipal assemblies of the People’s Power in front of the Hall Me Dicen Cuba in School building 1.
After recognizing the outstanding career of the partners who were proposed, the attendees decided by public vote that the candidate for this constituency should be Yusdel Meriño Almaguer.
The nomination of candidates is the major expression of the socialist Cuban democracy. This process will culminate with the election on November 26 of the delegates that will represent the University in the municipal government body.
