Fifty six young people from School 3 are graduated
In keeping with tradition by this time of the year, the graduation ceremony at School 3 was held on Tuesday, in the Hall of Events of School Building 4.
During the ceremony dedicated to the historic leader Fidel Castro Ruz, and to the 15th anniversary of this house of higher studies, graduates in the fields of research, teaching, production, culture and sports gained recognition. Several graduates were also distinguished because of their work as leaders of the students’ organization (FEU).
In the presence of Dr. Sc., Natalia Martínez Sánchez, Vicerector for Academic Affairs, the best graduate of the school, Juan Gabriel León Herrera, thanked the Revolution for being an essential element in the education of all graduates and invited new professionals to keep alive the spirit of UCI.
Additionally, Olga Yarisbel Rojas, on behalf of the school faculty, congratulated the newly graduates and urged them to live up to their time and to be active participants in the transformations of our nation.
There was also a cultural moment during the ceremony, as the amateur artist Ivis Herrera Durán delighted the audience with her interpretation of the theme Andar andando
In the closing words of the meeting, Engineer Yadián Pérez Betancourt, Dean of the School, highlighted the preparation receive by the new professionals of this school which will help them respond to the economic and social challenges of the country.
An unforgettable stage of their lives comes to an end for these 56 young people, who must reaffirm from now on that they are highly qualified professionals, committed to our social project.
