Young people from the UCI participate in the Act of solidarity with Venezuela
When calling the youth to support noble causes, the University of Informatics Sciences (known as UCI) has a leading role within Cuban universities. This was demonstrated when about 100 young people from our institution participated in the cultural political act of solidarity with the Venezuelan people that took place this Monday in the Palace of Conventions in Havana.
The event was presided over by the President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba General of the Army Raúl Castro Ruz and by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros.
The delegation that participated in the activity, representing all the students and workers of this house of high studies, showed their unconditional support for the revolutionary process initiated by the Eternal Commander Hugo Chavez in 1999, which restored dignity and true freedom to Venezuela.
The Cuban people reject the destabilizing maneuvers that are being carried out against Venezuela, as well as the attitude of the Secretary General of the OAS Luis Almagro, promoter of the interference against the government of Nicolás Maduro.
The activity served as a closing to the XV Political Council of ALBA-TCP, which concluded that same afternoon. In addition, members of the governments of both nations, Cuba's political and mass organizations, as well as the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and officials of the member countries of the regional mechanism participated.
