UCI polling stations ready for constitutional referendum
Next February 24, the day of the constitutional referendum, the five special polling stations belonging to its five constituencies will operate at the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI).
The polling stations were declared ready by the electoral authorities from UCI, led by Ariagna González Landeiro, coordinator of the electoral process in this higher studies school, together with members of the University Council.
The revision of each area is complemented with the trial run to take place next Sunday, February 17, whose main objective is to definitively mesh all the components of the system with the mobilization of means and resources, and the action of all the personnel in place that will intervene the day of the voting.
The adequate functioning of the communications, the conditions of the premises and their lighting, among other issues related to the successful performance of each polling station, were analyzed in this tour.
Of special interest to UCI electoral authorities was the work to be done in the polling stations. Among other demands, the voters are explained how to exercise their vote; the information of the voting is emitted, and the ballot boxes where voters will carry out their electoral exercise are shown.
The great responsibility of the Cuban people in the legitimization of a new Constitution will be demonstrated once again in that day already marked by a transcendental date in the pages of the history that we built.
