A hug of devotion and commitment
The call launched by the country's top government executive to support the victims of the tornado that hit the capital of all Cubans has had the participation of young people from the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI).
Visiting the affected areas is enough to see the work of students and workers of this higher education center involved in the sanitation activities, trash collection and construction work deployed in the municipalities of Diez de Octubre, Regla and Guanabacoa.
In the work session developed during this weekend the participants returned the splendor to several spaces of the popular council Tamarindo, demonstrating that they can count on them in the development of complex tasks that require dedication and commitment.
Durante la jornada sabatina, la representación de la UCI intercambió con Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, primer secretario del Partido en La Habana, quien significó el aporte de la Universidad en los principales procesos que se desarrollan en nuestro país.
On Saturday, this representation of UCI participated in an exchange with Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, first secretary of the Communist Party in Havana, who highlighted the contribution of the University in the main processes that are been developed in our country.
The executive pointed out that, whoever saw the images of the most populated municipality of the capital after the impact of the tornado, and compares them with the hygiene that enlightens them today, perceives the enormous effort made by the Troop of the Future in the midst of the harshest adversities.
It is these same values and attitudes that have been repeated and appreciated throughout Havana, where the essence of each Cuban continues to be put to the test.
