Fidel: History has exonerated you. Today more than ever we young people will rise and move forward with this socialist revolution. We will not disappoint you. Thank you Commander, you are the light that illuminates us, our UCI will always keep you in mind. Today, the Cubans are dawning with their souls in pieces.
I never had the satisfaction of shaking your hand, or having the privilege of feeling your kiss on the cheek, but I have the immense pride of studying in the UCI, the university that you created. I am proud to say that I am Cuban and today thanks to you I am a young university student with the power to change the future. Rest in peace, we are united and committed to your ideals, and that makes us invincible. We will overcome all the battles to come. You fulfilled to Martí, we will fulfill to both.
Thank you for being an example of sacrifice, modesty, disinterest, altruism, and heroism.Thank you for putting up the name of Cuba in all international spaces.
Thank you for showing us that David can deal with the most terrible Goliath when there is a deep conviction to defend truth and ideas at any cost. We will always fight on the basis of our patriotism, our socialism, and our internationalism.
