Netscape stands out at the 9th edition of the Caribbean Training Camp for ACM-ICPC
The Netscape team was the Grand Champion in the 9th edition of the ACM-ICPC Caribbean Training Camp held for two weeks at the University of Informatics Sciences.
The report was given by Engineer Dovier Antonio Ripoll Méndez, General Director of the ACM-ICPC in the Caribbean area during the closing ceremony of this event, staged this weekend in the lobby of School Building 4.
The selection that defends the colors of the Universidad de Oriente accumulated 185.10 points out of the possible 200 points. This team was escorted in the podium of prizes by KFP from the Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas (136.86) and by Michaelangelo Toribio from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra from the Dominican Republic (128.40).
In addition, the representatives of the higher education center of Santiago de Cuba won the special prize for solving 63 exercises during the contest, in what is known as Upsolving. They were also part of the Blue selection that together with KFP and Michaelangelo Toribio dominated the tournament of Programming challengers
On this day the organizing committee of the event recognized the Argentine professor Leopoldo Taravilse, who offered his assessments about the camp and the level shown by the participant teams.
