The Free Software Center attached to the Faculty 1, develops the Cuban Distribution of GNU / LINUX, NOVA.
It also leads the processes of Migration to Open Source Applications, from a model of integration of training, research and postgraduate, contributing to the integral training of professionals committed to the Revolution that respond to the needs of the scientific - technical and socio - economic progress of the country.
Among its functions we have:
- Provide customization services for GNU / Linux operating systems, both nationally and for export.
- Offer consulting services for the migration to Free Software nationally and internationally.
- Provide training programs associated with GNU / Linux systems.
