Master's Degree in Virtual Education

The Master's program in Virtual Education, developed by the National Center for Distance Education (CENED) will allow the graduate to perform functions such as:

  • Teacher and/or tutor in academic programs in the distance and virtual modality.
  • Instructional designer for the development of courses and educational resources for the distance and virtual modality.
  • Designer of methodologies, personalized learning strategies and distance and virtual teaching and learning models.
  • Participate or coordinate processes of selection, design and production of digital educational resources.
  • Manager (design, direction, organization, development and evaluation) of distance education programs and projects in virtual spaces.
  • Advisor for the implementation of virtual education proposals in educational institutions or business organizations.
  • Design, participate and direct educational research, development and innovation projects in distance and virtual education, generating new knowledge.

Program structure

To obtain the Master's degree in Virtual Education it is necessary to accumulate at least 60 credits structured as follows:

The Program is developed in the virtual distance modality, with a high level of flexibility, which eliminates geographical limitations and minimizes time restrictions, allowing students to enroll in several courses and manage their own time.

 

Enrollment requirements

  • Be a university graduate, with diverse university training. 
  • Perform teaching and/or research functions in educational or business institutions that develop or are interested in implementing distance programs.
  • Be authorized and endorsed by their work center in case they work in the state sector. 
  • Possess knowledge of the English language that allows him/her to understand texts in this language to consult the bibliography. 
  • Have basic training in the use of information and communication technologies.
  • Pass the propaedeutic course "Management of scientific information".
  • For foreigners not graduated from Cuban universities, additional documentation legalization requirements are specified.
