The legacy of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro was the main inspiration of the political-cultural evening that was held on Monday night in Julio Antonio Mella square in the context of the 14th Anniversary of the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI).

The gala, which was attended by the Rector of our institution, PhD. Miriam Nicado García, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee Party and of the Council of State; Fernando González; Hero of the Republic of Cuba and Vice-President of ICAP; Fernando Vecino Alegret, revolutionary fighter and Professor of Merit of the UCI; And the MSc. Melchor Gil Morell, the first rector of this house of high studies, delighted those present with a varied spectacle that exposed passages of the life of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.

The program of the evening included performances by the Madrigalista and ISA choral groups, Havana's Guitar Quartet, songwriters Eduardo Sosa and Annie Garcés, and amateur artists from the university

Music, dance and poetry merged on the stage to give life to a show that highlighted the values ​​and the work of our Eternal Commander, accompanied by images corresponding to historical moments of our country.

Our historic leader was present in this celebration of the UCI, as he has been since he created this institution that appreciates his eternal genius and greatness, and humbly also says Thank you for all Fidel.
