It contains all the instruments to cover from the generation of documents, their review, administration, distribution, custody and disposal, complying with international standards for document management, maintaining the security of documents in electronic format. Among its main features are the control of versions, access and permissions, automation of document flows, management of documents and folders, management of notes on documents and lists of data. XILEMA ORIÓN is a system oriented to search published contents in the Cuban web through a friendly and intuitive interface. This tool is composed by three components that, as a whole, provide the functionalities of general and advanced search of documents, texts and images. XABAL REPXOS is a web system that allows to store and disseminate digital intellectual production generated by an institution. Based on the DSpace tool, its main objectives are to guarantee the visibility of the authors, facilitate contact between them, favor the discussion of the deposited works, contribute to the increase of citations and the impact of the works in the scientific community of the institution where it is installed.
All the information generated in the different types of events that take place in the institution, is stored in XABAL REPXOS 3.0; its integration with the investigative processes, allows to use the documentation as an information source, offering a way for knowledge dissemination and also a tool in the teaching-educational process. This facilitates open access to information to institution’s researchers.
