A variety of artworks, designed by leading figures from the fine  arts, make the University of Informatics Science(known as UCI)  a city that boasts a rich cultural heritage.  Nevertheless , the  weather conditions, the passage  of time and the exposure in most of  the cases to the outdoor, has  damaged the works.
With the aim of maintaining  these important artworks that make the University a large gallery, the UCI called the authors of the samples to organize its restoration.

On Saturday,  September 17th ,  received by the Vice Chancellor of University Extension and Residence, Silvano Merced Len, and  the director of Cultural Extension, Ernerto González García, the artists arrived at the UCI.
Among the highlighted attendance  there were , Flora Fong, Pedro de Oraa, José Villa, Alicia Leal, Juan Moreira, Thomas Lara, Eliseo Valdés, among others. It was also present, Rosa Maria Roble, a Mexican artist, who will present to this house of higher learning , a work to assess its possible location here.

The artists , together with the  representatives of the Company of  Projects and Engineering Services of Culture (Atrio), toured the campus, raised the needs for each artistic work and proposed to start restoring  as soon as possible.

The  UCI university  makes a great  effort to maintain the cultural heritage, and  the numerous artworks  that adorn every corner of it  which becomes  the school  in a fabulous teaching and educational environment.
